At Gauss Robotics, we are making robotics a commodity by automating the engineering processes behind it. Our automation platform combines artificial intelligence, cloud-native infrastructure, simulation technology, and robotics to dramatically simplify how robotic systems are designed, deployed, and operated.

Unlike many software companies, our systems do not stop at the cloud. The infrastructure you build will power real robotic systems performing work on the shopfloor of factories.

We're looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who builds and owns the critical cloud infrastructure behind our AI-powered robotics systems. Someone who understands cloud architecture, networking, distributed systems, Kubernetes, and software engineering. Someone who can make architectural decisions, write production code, debug complex systems. Someone who takes ownership.

Tasks

  • Design, build, and evolve our cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Own our Kubernetes platform running on AWS EKS.
  • Design networking architectures that are secure, scalable, and operationally simple using Tailscale, Kubernetes, Istio.
  • Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Pulumi and TypeScript.
  • Develop and improve GitOps workflows using GitHub and ArgoCD.
  • Build IaC, tooling, and automation in TypeScript and Python.
  • Improve observability using Prometheus, Grafana, and modern monitoring practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production incidents across cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, applications, and robotics systems running on Linux.
  • Make architecture decisions that influence the future direction of our platform.
  • Work directly with software engineers, robotics engineers, and leadership to scale the business.

Requirements

  • Sound practical experience with the aforementioned tech stack
  • Extensive hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments.
  • Strong cloud architecture experience on AWS.
  • Deep understanding of networking fundamentals.
  • Practical experience with cloud networking and security.
  • Good software engineering skills.
  • Experience writing production code in TypeScript and Python.
  • Experience making architectural decisions and understanding their long-term consequences.
  • A strong bias toward automation and simplification.

Benefits

  • Real Ownership & Impact – You will have significant ownership, direct influence on technical strategy, and the ability to shape the platform that powers the next generation of AI-enabled turnkey robotics solutions.
  • Continuous Learning – Access to professional learning platforms and technical courses
  • Choose Your Setup – Select your preferred device and operating system
  • Flexible Work Model – Flexible working hours and hybrid work options
  • Mobility Support – Jobrad/bike leasing or public transportation benefits
  • Health & Wellbeing – Flexible gym membership or capital-building benefits; fresh fruit and soft drinks in the officeCompetitive Salary – Aligned with experience and responsibility
