2. Data Processing When Visiting Our Website
When you access our website gauss-robotics.de, information is automatically transmitted by the browser used on your device to our website’s server. This information is temporarily stored in so-called log files. The following data is collected:
- IP address of the requesting device
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the accessed file
- Website from which the access occurs (referrer URL)
- Browser type and version as well as, if applicable, your computer’s operating system and the name of your access provider
This data is processed for the following purposes:

When you contact us via the contact form provided on our website, we process the data you provide (email address, subject, message, telephone number) solely for the purpose of handling your inquiry and any follow-up questions.
Legal basis:
- Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance of pre-contractual measures or a contract), if your inquiry relates to the conclusion of a contract,
- otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry).
Storage period:
Your data will be deleted once your inquiry has been fully processed and no legal retention obligations apply. If legal retention periods exist (e.g., commercial or tax regulations), data will be deleted after these periods expire.

Your personal data will only be transferred to third parties if:
- you have given your explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR),
- processing is necessary for the performance of a contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR),
- a legal obligation requires it (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), or

5. Hosting
Our website is hosted by WP Engine, Inc., 504 Lavaca Street, Suite 1000, Austin, TX 78701, USA.
The server locations are within the European Union.
WP Engine provides the technical services required to operate our website (e.g., server hosting, maintenance, security services) and processes personal data (in particular IP addresses and server log data) on our behalf.
We have concluded a Data Processing Agreement with WP Engine in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR.
A transfer of personal data to the United States may occur within the scope of support and maintenance. Such transfers are based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR), which ensure an adequate level of data protection.

6. Use of Google Services
a) Google Fonts
For a consistent presentation of fonts, this website uses Google Fonts, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
When you access a page, your browser loads the required fonts into its cache to correctly display text and fonts.
Your IP address may be transmitted to Google servers in the process. According to Google, the data collected in connection with Google Fonts is not combined with other Google data.

b) Google Maps
To display interactive maps, our website uses Google Maps, also provided by Google Ireland Limited.
When a page with an embedded Google Maps component is accessed, technical data (such as IP address and possibly location data) is transmitted to Google.
